In this paper FEM simulation model was founded according to the character of the die and mould ring power spinning formation process. The process had been analyzed based on a three-dimensional elastic-plastic finite element model. The effects of process parameters and deforming theory are investigated. The content of the project and main results are as follows:Tube power spinning is a complex plastic volume forming method widely used to produce parts in satellite, missile, aviation etc. Cylinder are a kind of very important parts, widely used in aerospace and military industry, etc. The spinning process parameters that were used need to be determined through process tests and experience of engineers. People spend much time on studying the theory in tube power spinning. Research on the deformation mechanism and deformation laws of tube power spinning. Die and mould ring power spinning is a key problem urgently to be solved for the research and development of tube power spinning.The geometry model building, meshing, refining, boundary condition and applying load are analyzed. Compatible methods are applied to the power spinning. The Elastic-plastic finite element theory interrelated to spinning process is explained, including virtual work equation, increment equation, Elastic-plastic constitutive equation, equation of finite element solution.The stress and strain in spinning process are analyzed. The influence of process parameters on spinning forming is also analyzed. Through the FEM model, the affections of roller forming angle, roller angle radius, pulling speed, reductions of wall thickness are during die and mould ring power spinning process.The sector's distribution of spinning stress on inner surface was obtained. The phenomenon of build up during spinning process was analyzed, and spinning force was also calculated. The effects of process parameters on build up and spinning force were demonstrated. Workpiece has high quality on process parameters of roller forming angle: 20~25 degrees, roller angle radius: 4.5mm~6.0mm, pulling speed: 0.4mm/s~0.6mm/s, and reductions of wall thickness: 25%~30%. The results of simulation agree well with the spinning experiment.The result provides a certain technical support and parameter optimization for die and mould ring power spinning.
