In order to improve the dimension stability and antisepsis of rubber wood and imitate the fuscous color of rarity trees this article take rubber wood for example, research the carbonization process of it. This method is environment-friendly, the whole process only come down to the water vapor, without any chemical medicine, so the carbonized rubber wood is harmless to human being and the environment. Through controlling the temperature and the heat preservation time, found the relationship between carbonization technics parameter and the performance of treated rubber wood .The results show that the species take the most important part of carbonization technics parameter. Test the color, quality, water absorption, swelling rate, mechanics of carbonized rubber wood of different parameters. The results show that:1. The carbonized temperature and the heat preservation time determine the final performance directly. different wood should have different technics;2. With the increasing of carbonized temperature and the heat preservation time, the color become darken; color uniformity is better when the heat preservation time increased, the depth of carbonized increased when the carbonized temperature become higher; water absorption and swelling rate recede notably, dimension stability improved evidently; mechanics of carbonized rubber wood fall in a certain extent;3. maps show that: with the increasing of carbonized temperature and the heat preservation time, the number of C=O and CH3 decrease; dimension stability improved because hydrophile hydroxy function groups reduce. the weight of carbonized rubber wood have changed compared with normal wood, the hemicellulose degrade in the process of heat treatment.
