Vitamin E andβ-carotene are indispensable nutritive substances for human's health. They are generally made into micro-emulsion or micro-capsult to promote boilogical utilization efficiency.Study of Vitamin E andβ-carotene micro-emuslion in this paper in order to prepare for the spray evaporation is of great importance.It is found that,when HLB value of the non-ionic surfactants is 13.5 and the mass of the surfactants is twice the Vitamin E,the prepared micro-emulsion's volume average particle size is 24.6nm,the number average particle size is 6.1nm,and the micro-emulsion's transparency and stability are very good.When the gelatin and the modified starch are used as surfactants to prepare Vitamin E micro-emulsion,when emulsion temperature is 20~30℃,surfactant solution concentration is below 5%,mass of surfactant solution is 30g,the rate of the quality surfactant to taht of vitamin E is 6:1 and organic solvent is 5~10ml,we can obtain vitamin E micro-emulsion by the solvent diffusion method.The prepared micro-emulsion's volume average particle size is 198.1nm,the number average particle size is 191.4nm,and the micro-emulsion's transparency and stability are very good.In order to increase the concentration of surfactant solution,emulsion temperature must be enhanced accordingly.When the concentration of surfactant solution is 10%,the corresponding temperature for emulsion is 45~55℃,we can obtain Vitamin E micro-emulsion with the required size,transparency and stability.A kind of more suitable organic solvent is given,and solvent diffusion method can be used to prepareβ-carotene micro-emulsion under normal pressure.It is found that,when the emulsion temperature is 90℃,the concentration of surfactant solution is above 5%,organic solvents is 5~10ml and the mass ofβ-carotene is below 0.05g, we can obtainβ-carotene micro-emulsion by the solvent diffusion method under the normal pressure.The prep- ared micro-emulsion's volume average particle size distributes between 91.5nm,591.4 nm,the number average particle size is 28.7nm,and the micro-emulsion's transparency and stability are very good.
