Accompanied by the rapid progress of China's economy and the improving standard of living, the requirements of indoor environment have been exigent more than ever. In order to accommodate a suitable temperature, which is the key factor within all the aspects that would bring influence to the coziness of houses, air-conditioner or heating systems will certainly bring energy consumption and environmental pollution. Upon such foundation, make good application of natural resources to manipulate the indoor temperature, and the application of passive measures, as well as the technology of controlling air-temperature in houses, tend to be a main direction in the research of indoor thermal environment manipulation.Through compounding of ordinary building materials and phase change materials(PCM for short), the building envelopes would be more suitable to solve the contradictions between coziness, energy saving and environment protection, as their thermal capacity would be higher than before. In this paper, within the way of compounding organic carboxylic acid and expand marqarite, a product of energy storing phase change material is introduced in the expectation to provide some basis for further research..In this paper, some pure organic acids and their binary systems as phase change materials were discussed. According to the theoretical calculation, the weight compositions, phase change temperatures and enthalpy of organic acids eutectic mixtures were evaluated by DSC. Research outcome showed eutectic mixture's phase change temperature are suitable for indoor environment, this supplied the basis for choosing phase change materials which could adapt to the variation of indoor temperature. The melt intercalation method was presented to prepare the organic acids/porous media composite materials for phase change energy storage. The process conditions were researched. The structures and properties were characterized by using SEM and DSC. The result showed that the organic acids were intercalated effectively into the layers of porous media and the composite were shape stabilized phase change materials, which can keep the same shape in solid state even when the temperature is over the melting temperature of organic acids. The composite materials had obvious thermal properties, which make them suitable for building envelopes. Finally, simulate the practical application, analysis were applied to investigate the effect of the composite material's energy storage, It shows this kind of material has great performance in energy saving, and supplied a foundation for practical application.
