Recently, the design and synthesis of inorganic-organic hybrid compounds based on polyoxometalate blocks are of great interest owing to their intriguing structures and potential applications in catalysis, medicine and materials. The aim of this paper is not only to synthesis new organic-inorganic hybrid compounds based on the Keggin silicotungstates and transition-metal chelate compounds,but also to study their synthetic conditions, rules for this kind of compounds and relationship between their structures and properties.Through the conventional aqueous synthesis methods, we obtained three new silicotungstates modified by transition metal-organic chelate compounds. These new complexes are determined by single crystal structure X-ray diffraction and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, XRD, TG, fluorescence spectroscopy, adsorbent properties and cyclic voltammograms. The main works are as follows:1. Hybrid compounds based on the saturated silicotungstates. {[Cu2(phen)2(OH)2(H2O)]2[α-SiW12O40]} . 8H2O (1) K(H3O)[Ni(phen)2(H2O)2][α-SiW12O40] .11H2O (2) Compound 1 is saturated silicotungstates modified by bi-supported copper- phenanthroline chelate compounds. A porous 3D open framework is formed throughπ…πstacking and H bonding interactions in the compound. It shows thermal stability and photoluminescence property in the solid state, at the same time, it shows reversible dehydration and re-adsorption of water capability. In compound 2, the inorganic and organic moieties adopt an alternating arrange manner which contributed the formation of it's two dimensional frameworks.2. Hybrid compound based on the monolacunary silicotungstates. (H3O)4[Cu(phen)(H2O)][Cu(phen)][α-SiW11O39] . 5H2O (3) Compound 3 is mono-lacunary silicotungstates modified by copper- phenanthroline chelate compounds. Moreover, the two metal-organic complexes are coordinated to the lacunary polyanion through the bridge oxygen atoms near the vacancy, forming an interesting coordination fashion.
