Works including the extraction and separation of flavonoids and polyasccharides from Aloe by microwave and aqueous two- phase systems have been reported in this paper. The optimal condition for microwave method is confirmed through orthogonal experiment about the extracting efficiency of flavonoids. The partitioning behaviors of flavonoids and Aloe polysaccharides in aqueous two-phase systems are investigated. The influences of composing of aqueous two-phase systems on the separation of flavonoids and Aloe polysaccharides are discussed.1.The extraction of flavonoids from Aloe by microwave method has been studied systemically. The optimal condition of extraction is obtained according to single factor experiment and orthogonal test of microwave extraction. The results have been compared with ultrasonic wave extraction and alcohol reflux method further.2.The partitioning behavior of flavonoids and Aloe polysaccharides in aqueous two-phase of ethanol and dispotassiums hydrogen phosphate has been studied, and the influences of the concentration of dispotassiums hydrogen phosphate, pH value, concentration of ethanol on the distribution coefficients of the flavonoids and Aloe polysaccharides have been discussed.3.The extraction results of flavonoids and polysaccharides by microwave-assisted / aqueous two-phase system and surging aqueous two-phase system are compared. The multilevel extraction and separation of flavonoids and polysaccharides by aqueous two-phase systems have been studied preliminarily.
