Nanosilica particle get more and more attention in the field of modified polymer materials due to it's inherent surface effect, quantum size effects and volume effect .Now, nanometer new technology and advanced manufacturing technology are used by many science workers at home and abroad to modify polymer, in order to improve the mechanical, thermology, electricity, optical and processing properties of polymer materials, increase their toughness,strength,heat resistance,flame retardancy and etc, which make it be a hot point in material research.The research status of nanosilica has been reviewed in this paper. And according to it's application in the field of composite material, ion-type chemical modification was employed to introduce an organic long silicone quaternary ammonium salt to the surface of nanosilica particles, which was found to be a nanosilica organic ion salt. Then by means of further ion change reaction, solventless nanosilica with liquid-like behavior in the absence of a diluent or solvent are synthesized. The nanosilica fluids possess an array microstructure,very low viscosity and high conductivity, which may have a bright application foreground in the fields of new type plasticizer and semiconductor. At the same time, the nanosilica organic ion salt and the nanosilica fluids were introduced to PVC to produce two kinds of composites via melt blend. The dispersion status of the nanosilica fluids in PVC were observed with scanning electron microscope. Dielectric constants and conductivities of two composites were tested by the HIOKI3532-50 LCR dielectric spectrum instrument, and the improvement of PVCs electrical properties by adding silica fluids has been studied.1.The nanosilica organic ion salt was prepared by means of silica surface grafting modify, and the advantages and disadvantages of two experiment schemes have been compared. Moreover, the properties of products have been studied by FTIR,SEM and dissolubility test. The rheological property and electrical property have been studied. And finally, the best experiment scheme has been found.2.The nanosilica organic ion salt was prepared by means of TEOS's sol-gel process and the effects of the kind of catalyst,the amount of catalyst and the reaction time to the reaction products were studied and the best experiment scheme has been found. Moreover, the properties of products have been studied by FTIR and low-temperature DSC. The rheological property and electrical property have been studied.3.The nanosilica organic ion salts were introduced into PVC to produce composites via melt blend. And the improvement of PVCs electrical properties by adding different content silica organic ion salt has been studied.4.The nanosilica fluids were introduced into PVC to produce nanosilica fluids/PVC composites via melt blend. And the improvement of PVCs electrical properties by adding different content silica fluids has been studied.
