The mining wasteland soil degradation and ecological restoration research has gradually become hotspot of experts and scholars at home and abroad. In this paper, based on China's largest production base metal tin—Yunnan tin mine in Gejiu. Selected five representative wastelands:Niushipo, Baihushan, Xiaoheishan, Eucommia land, Agricultural land in tailings and Tailings for library. Collection of soil samples taken stratified analysis, sample testing of soil density, soil texture, soil porosity, naturally content water, saturated soil moisture, soil infiltration rate, pH, organic matter, TN, TP, TK, hydrolysis nitrogen, available phosphorus, available potassium, and other indicators, and seven kinds of metals (Mn, Fe, Pb, Zn, Cu, Cd, As) content of the soils and plants. We found that the Gejiu tin mine area soil to the lack of fertility, heavy metal pollution, soil degradation serious. the extent of degradation of its basic show: the Tailings> Tailings (agricultural)> Xiaoheishan> Niushipo Baihushan> Eucommia land.According to the actual situation of soil in mining area wasteland, select soil texture, soil moisture, fertilizer efficiency, pH, heavy metals,vegetation, as soil degradation evaluation factor .Attempt to construct the soil degradation index system in mining area wasteland. Grey theory using correlation analysis to determine soil degradation evaluation of the weight of factor, according to the degradation factor weighted index statistics comprehensive statistics drawn comprehensive degradation index. A calculation outcome of the comprehensive index degradation: the tailings-Z= 19.19> tailings agricultural land-Z = 16.01> Xiaoheishan-Z = 12.95 > Baihushan-Z = 10.47≈Niushipo-Z = 10.28> Eucommia land-Z = 8.52. Soil degradation diagnosis system will be abandoned, the result of soil degradation: Eucommia soil for the First-level degradation, Niu-shipo and Baihushan for the Second-level degradation, Xiaoheishan for the Third degradation, agricultural Tailings for the Fourth degradation, the Tailings soil for the Fifth-level degradation. the diagnosis system conclusion close to the experimental results Explains the soil degradation diagnosis system is reasonable and feasible. According to the wasteland soil degradation grading, should be designed the relative ecological restoration measures:supplementary recovery,partial recovery, consolidated recovery, fully restored and complete restoration of ecological restoration five categories. it has played a guiding role for the ecological restoration work in the Gejiu tin ore.At present, research of soil degradation comprehensive evaluation system is few, non-ferrous metals on the mining area wasteland of soil degradation evaluation system of basic blank. This paper presents the the soil degradation diagnosis system of Gejiu tin ore in the success of applications, not only enriched the soil degradation comprehensive evaluation index system theory, but also added the mine soil ecosystem restoration theory, full of significance, but also real practical significance.
