In this thesis, two triazole vinyl monomers were successfully synthesized by"Click"chemistry. By using the reversible addition fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) polymerization, these two monomers were polymerized under the controlled manner and the triazole contained polymers with well-defined structure were obtained. The obtained polymers were further coordinated with rare earth ion to prepare rare earth containing polymeric complexes. The polymeric complexes were characterized by various techniques. The details were shown as follows:(1) A novel monomer containing triazole and naphthalene ring, 2-(1-naphthalen- 1-ylmethyl-1H-[1,2,3]triazol-4-yl)-ethyl methacrylate (NTEMA), was designed and synthesized via"Click"chemistry method. The RAFT polymerization of NTEMA was successfully carried out using 2-cyanoprop-2-yl dithiobenzoate (CPDB) as a RAFT agent, 2, 2'-azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN) as an initiator in tetrahydrofuran (THF) solution. The obtained poly(2-(1-naphthalen-1-ylmethyl-1H-[1,2,3]triazol- 4-yl)-ethyl methacrylate) homopolymers, PNTEMAs, were further coordinated with samarium ion to prepare rare earth containing polymers (PNTEMA-Sm(III) complexes) which were characterized by FT-IR, DSC, ICP-AES. The fluorescence property of the polymers and polymer Sm(III) complexes were investigated in solution and in film.(2)"Click"chemistry was utilized to access a novel monomer, 2-methyl-acrylic acid 1-(7-diethylamino-2-oxo-2H-chromen-3-yl)-1H-[1,2,3]triazol-4-ylmethyl ester (CTEMA). The RAFT copolymerization of the novel monomer with methyl methacrylate (MMA) was then carried out using 2-cyanoprop-2-yl dithiobenzoate (CPDB) as a RAFT agent and AIBN as an initiator in N, N-dimethylformamide (DMF) solution. Polymeric europium complexes were successfully prepared by the reaction between obtained copolymers and europium complex (Eu(C6H5COCH2COC6H5)Cl2·2H2O). The fluorescence property of the polymeric europium complexes was investigated in details.
