As the development of the centralization and the enlargement in mining, multi rope friction hoist has been widely used in mining hoist system. In order to increase the hoisting capacity, the large hoisting conveyance is used in multi rope friction hoisting system. But when the multi rope friction hoist needs changing the ropes, fixing the rope or replacing the hoisting conveyance, the clip must be applied to handle these problems. But the commonly used clip has the disadvantages of low strength and complex fixing, which affects the efficiency of rope exchanging.Based on the method of system design, according to the design requirement of the clip, we developed the quick-speed clip for large hoisting conveyance. Then, the detailed structural design for the main elements of the clip was carried out combined with the hoist parameters of Lvjiatuo CoalMine of Kairuan Group Corporation. Based on theory of optimization design and the theory of FEM, according to the stressed condition of clip while working and the theory of FEM, the paper get the mechanics model and analyze the main elements of the clip. The stress fields of the main parts were obtained. The analysis results would supply the design of the quick-speed clip for large hoisting conveyance with the basic data. In order to check the sensitivity and the reliability of the clip, the experiments were carried out at the hydraulic test stand. Experimental results shows that the quick-speed clip has the advantages of convenient fixing, agile and safe operating. The clip has comprehensive application foreground and spread value.
