Phenolic compounds are important chemical, but it is bad to person or ecosystem, so the treatment of it is paid more attention to by all the countries. In this thesis the new solid metal oxide, which is used as catalyst having highly efficient and reusable, was prepared according to theory of advanced oxidation process. The good result is obtained to degrade wastewater containing phenolic compounds. They are studied that the catalytic reaction mechanism and the reaction degradation model of the O-cresol degradation process of heterogeneous catalyst oxidation in theory as well. The application of this catalyst in treating pesticide industry wastewater is studied using heterogeneous catalyst oxidation technology too. The study process and results are follows:(1) Nano-Fe3O4 is prepared by oxidation-precipitation and hydrothermal, and the reaction time of hydrothermal is discussed. The Fe3O4 is detected by modern means of detection with uniform size distribution, crystal integrity, and a typical anti-spinel structure of the crystal.(2) Nano-iron oxide has good catalytic properties in the simulation of catalytic oxidation of waste water containing o-phenol the experiment. The optimum conditions of treatment wastewater are discussed. The treatment conditions of o-phenol wastewater have reached good results in the realistic pesticide industry. The reaction mechanism of the catalyst and the degradation mechanism of o-phenol are made a simple discussion.(3) Nano-iron oxide also has a good catalytic property in the catalytic oxidation treatment of wastewater containing resorcinol. The best experimental conditions of the catalytic oxidation are obtained.(4) The water samples are analyzed after each reuse of catalyst. We can see the catalyst is remained better catalytic properties after the catalyst reused. The catalyst was the more frequency of useful, the more effect of the good sign.
