Due to remarkable advantages of organic materials, such as facile synthesis and easy structural modification,small-size,large store, fast response etc.,the study of organic materials has become one of the most important research areas arising from multidiscipline subjects(Chemistry,Physics, and Material Science)in the 21st century. In this dissertation,a series of molecular switches and a novel dibenzosuberenylidene derivative(DPMB-HS)were synthesized as follows,PartⅠ:1,2-diarylethenes are promising molecules to be used as photochromic memory materials and molecular switches due to their excellent thermal stability and fatigue resistance.A series of photochromic diarylethene derivatives containing different fluorophores were synthesized and characterized.Switchable absorption and emission phenomena were observed for these molecules and were ascribed to the reason of reversible pcFRET(photochromic fluorescence resonance energy transfer)process.PartⅡ:By halogenation,esterification,Wittig-Horner and Sonogashira coupling reaction,a novel dibenzosuberenylidene derivative(DPMB-HS)was synthesized, which was characterized by 1H-NMR,13C-NMR,Mass spectroscopy. It showed aggregation induced emission(AIE)when DPMB-HS was chemically bonded to gold nanoparticles and presented a simple method for investigation the AIE phenomenon in an extremely small size scale(<10nm).In conclusion, this dissertation presents synthesis, characterization, and applications of new organic compounds.Their Photophysical Properties were investigated. Moreover, their potential applications, utilized as molecular switches, light emitting materials, are discussed in detail. We hope these results, with plentifulness and creation will merit the research on Chemistry,Physics, and Material Science.
