| Precise bearing balls play a very important role in modern industry. The traditional lapping mode can not meet the requirement of processing accuracy and efficiency. A lot of scholars pay attention to the precise bearing balls, and develpe some new processing mode and processing technology. But they can hardly used in batch production for low lapping accuracy and efficiency, or complexity of the machine, or out of control.Planetary precise ball lapping mode, a new lapping method which is based on end plate lapping is put forward in this article. Due to using bonded abrasive, it has high efficiency. In this mode, the spin angle 0 changes constantly by the time and has a great variation range, which makes the lapping trace cover all the surface of the ball uniformly and the ball perfect round at the end.This article simulates the process of lapping by MATLAB, and generally optimizes the structure parameter based on the evaluation of the batch average roundness, batch diameter uniformity and so on.Under the evaluation parameters of the average material removal rate ((MRR)|-) average roundness shift ((ΔRnd)|-),batch uniformity shiftΔσ, the optimum processing parameter of steel ball is explored based on the orthogonal experimental design. It is found that the result of experiment is similar to the simulation. The hard alloy sphere is also studied. It is concluded that this lapping mode is advantaged by the result of experiment. |
