The infrared radiating material is a kind of new function materials with wide range of application. It has already got extensive applications in many realms,such as medical treatment and health protection, the new building materials, heating of industry kiln, and so on.At present the metal oxides always be used in the making of the infrared radiating materials with high emissivity.In the experiment we select several transition metal oxides with low cost and high emissivity,then compound them with cordierite which is made of savageness mineral in a certain way.Finally the infrared radiating materials were producted with low cost and high emissivity.The infrared radiating coat is made up of radiate materials and felt materials. In the experiment we manufacture the infrared composite coat in a simple way, the polymer is its felt materials.In the oven the coat is finally manufactured in a low temperature. We manufacture infrared composite coat with high infrared emissivity and low cost by debugging some factors such as the different category and amount of radiate material, different making methods, and so on. The experiment becomes more important at present whether in producing of industry and agriculture or in science research and our daily lives.This article analyzed the infrared radiating mechanism. According to the Kirchhoff's law, the summation of the reflectivity, the absorptivity and the transmission of one object is 100%. The transmission and the emissivity of materials become equal under the same temperature.So about the infrared radiating capability of the sample,we can compare the changing of its infrared emissivity by many approachs,such as the move of the infrared imbibing spectrum and the infrared emissive spectrum of the sample,the change of certain wave band and peak value.The paper made a detailed research on the infrared reflex spectrum of the opacity coat and the infrared imbibing spectrum of the powder sample. The relation between the spectrum and the infrared emissivity of materials are also be discussed.Firstly,the experiment makes much research on the facture of the oxide infrared radiating powder,from the choice of the oxide to the way of oxide making. As a result, the different proportion of ZrO2 and TiO2 in the undertone infrared powder has certain effect on its infrared emissivity, but the influence is very feebleness.Great enhancing occurs on the infrared emissivity when the powder admixture of ZrO2 and TiO2 was heated to a high temperature.The color of the second infrared powder is changed from red to black, at the same time the ferromagnetic ferrite appears. The infrared imbibing of the sample between 2200~750cm-1 infrared wave band enhanced when be heated.If we only care of the infrared radiating property of materials, 1220℃may be regarded as its best sintered temperature.Secondly,cordierite and ferrite are compounded in the experiment by two routes.The first route is blending the fresh ferrite material and the fresh cordierite material with a proper proportion,then obtaining the composite of ferrite and cordierite by heating to a high temperature.In the second way,the baking of ferrite and cordierite is separate at first,then the baked ferrite and cordierite are blended,after the second burning the composite of ferrite and cordierite appears.As a result,the baking temperature of cordierite which composed by talcum,kaoline and alumina used in industry is 1350℃.Whether we use the baked material or the fresh material of ferrite and cordierite,the infrared absorptivity of the sinter improves to a certainty degree in a same way.The effect of infrared property in materials which caused by the different proportion of the fresh ferrite and cordierite is unlike in different infrared wave band.The infrared absorptivity of the sample becomes more higher when the proportion of ferrite is 10% in the mixture whether we use the baked material or the fresh material. At the same time we abtain the same conclusion about the two routes.From the whole infrared wave band,we can found that the infrared absorptivity of the baked material is more higher than that of the fresh material.After baking,the infrared absorptivity of the sample which was made of the baked material is higher than that of the fresh material in the infrared wave band of 1500 cm-1~400 cm-1.Compared with the single cordierite,the compound simple of ferrite and cordierite has a higher infrared absorptivity in the infrared wave band of 4000~1250cm-1.In the area of industry granularity,the granularity has little effect on the infrared emissivity of the power.At last, the facture of the infrared compound coat which has a high emissivity is studied in the experiment.We select the macromolecule powder as the felted material, seek the facture technics of the infrared coat.From the exterior microstructure of the coat, we can see that part of the infrared powder is revealed on the surface of the coat.The emerging of the powder augment the exterior roughness of the coat.At the same time it can also augment the infrared emissivity of the coat. From the faultage microstructure of the coat, we can see that to the infrared powder there is some difference of the distribution and denseness degree between the endothecium and the exterior of the coat.The relation between the infrared emissivity and the dosage, the composition, the test temperature of the infrared powder is studied in the experiment.The infrared reflecting spectrum and the infrared absorbed spectrum of the designed coat are also analysed detailedly. As a result,with the quantity increasing of the infrared powder in the sample the infrared emissivity of the sample becomes higher at a certain temperature,but there exists a limit.The best dosage of the infrared powder in the coat is 10~15%.As a whole, the infrared emissivity of the compound coat sample which is made of the self-made infrared powder is higher than that of the infrared powder bought from the market.With the increase of the test temperature the infrared emissivity of the coat becomes lower.To the same sample,the infrared absorptivity decline appreciably when the powder is turned into a concretionary coat.All these conclusions are very important to the facture of infrared compound coat with high emissivity and low cost.
