Turn-milling is one of the cutting-edge technology in the fields of advanced manufacturing. It can solve the machining problems on turning or milling. And almost all of the processes of a workpiece can be carried out on a turn-milling machine tool. The scientific value and application prospects of the turn-milling can be taken attention by compies gradually. Since the complex kinematics of the turn-milling,resulting in the cutting parameters became more and more and mutual coupling,so that the choice of cutting parameters are more complex. Today it is not yet fully revealed the maximum number of milling machining process parameters on the influence of surface quality, to a certain extent,it affected the turn-milling technology application and promotion. Based on the cutting simulation, relationships between the cutting parameters and the turn-milling surface roughness are approached in this thesis. It provide theoretical guidance for the actual processing and have important practical significance.The geometrical models and the machining movement models of a ball-end milling cutter, an end milling cutter, a face milling cutter and a cylindrical milling cutter are established in this thesis.The simulation algorithms of surface texture in turn-milling is studied.The resolvent of critical problems in the simulation algorithms is made a detailed statement. Based FORTRAN and MATLAB, the simulation software system of micro-topography on turn-milling surface in is developed. The experiments of turn-milling are carried out, and the results of the experiments show that the surface texture simulation system is reliable. Based on the simulation system, the influence to turn-milled surface roughness by the cutting parameters such as axial feed rate, revolution ratio of cutter and workpiece, cutter tooth number, the tool inclination angle, eccentricity, tool edge helical angle, tool edge angle, are emphatically analyzed.At last,based on the orthogonal test, the influence to turn-milling surface roughness accompanying changes of several factors at the same time is studied in orthogonal turn-milling of end milling cutter, the research can provide theoretically guidance in production practice.
