Nano-zinc oxide is of high conductivity, chemical stability and nontoxic as one of semiconductor compounds easily achieving quantum size effect. Another nano-titanium dioxide plays an important role in nano-materials. Both oxides have excellent properties and extensive applications in optics and photoelectric chemistry. The experiment studied different conditions of preparing zinc oxide nano-crystals using co-precipitation method and sol-gel method, such as reagents concentration reaction time and temperature, calcinations temperature. Ultrasound vibration was also used to reduce the reunion of the precursor obtaining small size of zinc oxide. The experiments obtained zinc oxide nano-crystals with size of 16.4 nm ~26.7 nm and zinc oxide/titanium dioxide powder with size of about 84.2 nm.X-ray diffraction was used to analyze the effect of experimental conditions on the size and structure of nano-crystals. The morphology and elements analysis were obtained by environmental scanning electron microscopy. Furthermore, it was necessary to use thermogravimetry, differential thermal analysis, infrared spectroscopy and performance analysis for characterizing the structure, discussing the effect of preparation conditions on the performance of nanocrystals and optimize the preparation conditions.
