Along with the rapid development of science and technology, particularly in the production of mold, the multi-species, medium-sized and small proportion of the production volume has increased significantly. With all areas of its equipment to the performance, quality, cost, cycle, and other aspects of continually increasing demands, and its structure as well as important parts of the structure showing a large, complex, thin-walled, and the development trend of precision, and the ever more use of the rough from the CNC Machining, vigorously improve the efficiency of CNC machining is the key to achieving these goals. Traditional in NC machining of parts usually rely on the experience of the more conservative choice, constant feed rate, although there are so conducive to the stability and machining surface roughness of the product. But in the rough maching , this kind of machining accuracy greatly reduce the processing efficiency and increase the cost of the product.This paper focus on the flat-cutter and arc cutter used in the mould processing frequently, based on the simulation of transient milling force to optimize the feed-rate.According to Cutter trajectory, the NC machining geometric simulation has been done, simulation geometry can be precisely calculated contours chip geometry ,this provide to milling force simulation behind with the geometric parameters that will be used.On the basis of the geometric simulation of the force, we can establish the models including shear force and the cutting edge force of the cutter and the instantaneous micro-force model and the overall force model, using experimental data by the least square method we can calculate the various milling model coefficient. We can get the force finally of the every point by inserting the geometric parameters into the force model.Simulation of the force to be the basis for various cutting load of different sites, the corresponding feed rate can be obtained, then reunification the feeding rate of each cutter-point on the trajectory. Finally, the values of feed-rate optimized are wrote on the corresponding position on the code, and the optimization have been completed.We can design tests for verification, and the test results show that the proposed method effectively improve the efficiency of maching under the premise of the quality assurance and milling rough.
