Computer programming is one of the keys of wire electrical discharge machining technology. With the development of wire electrical discharge machining technology, the programming technology has been developed rapidly. Some computer programming software from abroad has powerful function, but the operations are complicated and more important, they are very expensive. The software in domestic has distinctive features, but the functions cannot be satisfied. So, from the point of practical engineering application, it is of great realistic significance for this theme to develop software for computer programming of wire electrical discharge machining.This thesis is divided into 4 modules, programming of plane cutting, programming of taper cutting, programming of up and down abnormity cutting and the module for code generation and check. Two-dimension-cutting program in the theme is optimized and some defects in the system are resolved; To improve precision, the algorithm of multiplicity cutting is researched on the basis of one process; On the basis of plane cutting and multiplicity cutting, the function of cutting progressive die is developed; Programming of normal taper work pieces cutting is implemented. The algorithms of accomplishing reference planes and accomplishing backlash compensation are discussed. It is feasible to do program on different shape work pieces, such as constant taper,sharp taper and equal-radius taper; This software realized programming of up and down abnormity cutting and the algorithms of profile synthesis and backlash compensation are studied.This software is developed with Visual C++ 6.0 and it is a kind of object-oriented man-machine interaction software. Programming of plan cutting, taper cutting, up and down abnormity cutting has been realized and the system can generate and check codes.
