In recent years, the development and the application of the magnesium alloy have become a hot item in the field of metals material research and application in the world. Because of its good physics performance, machining performance and abundant reserves, the magnesium alloy has already been regarded as light weight material of the most prospect and the green metals material of 21 centuries Firstly, a set of dies is designed for warm hydrostatic extrusion tests of seamless magnesium alloy MB2 wire,and Finite element analysis and optimizations are adopted on the key part, container of the dies. Later a data collection system of warm hydrostatic extrusion dies is designed and produced. By use of the program based software Kingview we can gather the experiment dates though the system at one time.Secondly, the paper has analyzed the warm hydrostatic extrusion processes of magnesium alloy MB2. By the experiment of warm hydrostatic extrusion magnesium wire on the dies and data collection system ,which is selected different factors, the influences of temperature and its extrusion ratio on the distributing extrusion pressures in hydrostatic extrusion are analyzed.Finally, by the use of general-purpose FEM software Defrom-3D numerical simulation on hydrostatic extrusion on seamless tube of magnesium alloy MB2 are researched. The simulation results show that the information of magnesium alloy MB2 during the hydrostatic extrusion processes ,temperature field distribution and excursion, the curve of load-stroke ,effective stain and stress etc. The studies are significant for determining the parameters and optimizing the dies design .
