It is significant to measure the oil content and salt content of crude oil, whichis used to determine the oil-water reservoir, estimate the oil production, predictthe cycle life of oil well and improve the method of transport and refiningtechnique. Accurately and timely measuring oil content and salt content of crudeoil can reflect the working state of oil well. And the data is important foradministration to reduce energy consumption, decrease cost and realizehigh-efficiency management. For improving the automaticity of productionmanagement, it is need to measure the oil content and salt content of crude oilsimultaneously.After studying many documents, a method of measuring the oil content andsalt content of crude oil is proposed, using four-electrode conductivity sensor andultrasonic sensor based on Hmultifunction sensing techniqueH.First, basic knowledge about conductivity measurement technology isintroduced. The problem of conductivity measurement system is analyzed. Andthe character of in transmission in liquid and the influence of temperature to theultrasonic velocity is also concerned.Second, the experiment uses the emulsion of distilled water, base oil and NaClto simulate the real crude oil; the measurement circuit of four-electrodeconductivity sensor and ultrasonic sensor is used to measure the conductivity ofthe emulsion and the Time of Flight of the ultrasonic sensor. After analyzingmeasurement data, the function of oil content and salt content is fitted by thelinear least square. And then the causes of errors in the experiment are discussed.Finally, the improvement of measurement circuit of four-electrodeconductivity sensor is proposed. The analog part includes the filter circuit anddrive circuit; the digital part regards single-chip as core, realizing frequencyconversion and amplitude modulation of excitation signal by PID and DDSmethod, realizing detection of the weakness signal by Hcorrelation detectiontechnologyH.
