Air-Foam flooding has two advantages including air injection and foam injection, so it integrates both functions of profile controlling and displacement. The Hu12 crude oil low temperature oxidation (LTO) experiments including static oxidation and dynamic oxidation have been carried out by using high pressure oxidation tube; and air-foam displacement experiments have been accomplished to research the foam blocking ability and oil displacement efficiency. The results from the data analysis demonstrate that: Hu12 crude oil low temperature oxidation occurs easily; after oxidation, the oxygen element content increases, while the carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen element content are almost unchanged; oxidation rate increases and the quantity of oxygen consumed and carbon dioxide produced increases with the increasing of temperature and pressure; the presence of clay minerals accelerates LTO reaction; it causes little influence when air is in the shape of air-foam; some factors including core permeability, ratio of gas to liquid, pressure and temperature influence the foam stability and blocking ability; air-foam can effectively blocks the high permeability zone through controlling the gas mobility, and the displacement efficiency is increased by 16~24%; the change of obliquity causes little affect on oil recovery. On the basis of the theories and experimental results, air-foam flooding is a safe, effective, and promising technique for enhanced oil recovery.
