The progress of exploitation and development of heavy oil reservoir in Chenjiazhuang oilfield is slower due to complex bedding regular pattern, variable sand body, worst interconnecting between pores, complex oil and water relations, and viscous oil and sanding production. After 2000 year, the well tests of 11 wells and 27 layers were carried out and the commercial oil flow was gained. The economic productivity can not be reached and the effecting development was still remained before 2004 year due to bad quality of oil, easy sanding production, and limiting production technology. The studying results show that the main problems are high viscosity oil, severe sanding production, and low oil-bearing height. In 2004 year, the study and application of sand controlling, steam stuff and puff, mixing water on the hollow rod bump, electric heating of hollow rod, and emulsification-viscosity break of wellbore, etc were carried out and the effects were obtained to some degree.In this paper, the adaptations and economic benefit of different production techniques are compared and analyzed. The results provide technology support and scientific foundation for heavy oil reservoir development in a large scale and promote high efficient development of heavy oil reservoir.
