Experimental Study Of Two Kind Of New Tray And Multiple Downcomer

The hydraulic performance of bubble part on the multiple downcomer tray was investigated with air-water system in a stainless steel column of 1200 mm internal diameter. The bubble part which the multiple downcomer tray used was small-sized fixed valve, medium-sized fixed valve, large-sized fixed valve and Enhance Jet Tray(EJT). The experimental result indicated that fixed tray and EJT had super hydraulic performances compared with the F1 float valve and the N-VST, and they had lower drop, higher operating flexibility. The model of pressure drop, weeping, the hole gas velocity of 5 % weeping and 10 % weeping, entrainment was obtained by the data fitting.The experimental study of vice downcomer which was designed on the arciform tray or on the channel tray was also carried on with air-water system in a stainless steel column of 1200 mm internal diameter. The experimental study indicated that vice downcomer played the role of adding overflow under the condition of high liquid flow. And the additional overflow of the vice downcomer on the arciform tray was better than that of it on the channel tray.The experimental study of anti-weeping device of the slanting hole, anti-weeping device of the bubble promoter, anti-weeping device of anti-penetration sieve was carried on under the similar experimental condition. The experimental findings indicated that the anti-weeping of anti-penetration sieve was better than that of other anti-weeping device. Moreover, the manufacture of the anti-weeping of anti-penetration sieve is convenient, which is one kind of super anti-weeping device.The multiple downcomer tray was designed on base of experimental study. Through the design of the multiple downcomer, it may provide the reference for the next industrial application.
