Because bio-trickling filter has superiority on elimination of H2S, it has been a hotspot at home and abroad. In bio-trickling filter, filler is not only a carrier by microorganism growing, but also a medi-chemical transmitter in the gas-liquid, and it is a core of the set. The bio-trickling filter's improve mostly depends on the fillers development. This paper study elimination of H2S by bio-trickling filter, we choose ceramisite, cascade ring, ceramic ring, ferrule, shale ceramisite as fillers for the experiment, and offer suitable fillers and filler combination mode to the Industrial operation.When the liquid flow was 4.5-5.4l/h,the gas residence time was 240-400s, the inlet concentration of H2S was 30-2000mg/m3,we study purification effect of H2S by different fillers and different filler's array. Then we analyze nature of the fillers, biomembrane weight of the fillers, removal efficiency of the fillers, pressure drop of the packing layer, and get some conclusion:(1)After compare nature of the fillers, such as specific surface area, void volume, hydrophilic property and so on, get a conclusion that each filler has its strongpoint;(2)After compare biofilm growth rate and biomembrane increasing weight on the fillers, get a conclusion that ceramisite is first one, shale ceramisite is the second one, cascade ring is the third one, ceramic ring is the fourth one, ferrule is the last one;(3)After compare removal efficiency of the fillers, get a conclusion that ceramisite, cascade ring, shale ceramisite have higher removal efficiency. When the inlet concentration of H2S was 300mg/m3-500mg/m3, the removal efficiency of H2S is over 90%;(4)After compare filler's combination way, get a conclusion that three fillers of layer combination and a mixture of three fillers have higher removal efficiency. When the inlet concentration of H2S was 200mg/m3-2000mg/m3, the removal efficiency of H2S is over 90%; (5)The whole system when in experiment, the pressure drops all have some change. But it is gentle and slow. This shows system energy consumption is not very large.In a word, the fillers and filler's combination mode recommended by experiment have higher purification effect. This provides a theoretical basis for more widely commercial application of bio-trickling filter.
