NC machine tools are moving towards high-performance, high-precision, high-efficiency, high flexibility, high automation and the rapid development of modular direction. A certain development in manufacture, design, testing and other technology of NC machine tool in China, but compared with other countries, the gap remains wide, main characteristic: poor reliability and resilience, product development cycles is long, means of design lag behind and so on. Especially, the gap of performance in high precision, high-speed connection such as sophisticated machine. Modular design is the core of Rapid Response Design, large and complex mechanical structure of the dynamic characteristics based on the modular determines the quality of the product. We expect to know the various Static and Dynamic Performance of the products in the design phase and improve in accordance with the requirements of structure to avoid repeated Trial production, test and improve the process of product prototype. Therefore, fast, personalized design and dynamic and static characteristics of the structure of large and complex machine is a key stage of the design.This thesis study NC milling machine. According to modern design theory, the process of mechanic production design by CAD/CAE technology, present the design method according to the "modular design". Dynamic Characteristics of the important parts in NC milling machine such as spindle components was analyzed. The influence on dynamic performances of machine tools, which results from those contact surface parameters, was analyzedThis thesis, first review the development and present situation of the fields correlative with NC modular design and FEA, indicate the target and values of the thesis, and state the chief research content of it.Second, the design method of NC machine tools was presented based on the modularization of decomposition and composition of structure; Take NC Milling machine for instance, the realization of modular design such as the division ,creation and evaluation of module was presentedThird, using the powerful FEA software, ANSYS, dynamic characteristics of the spindle Components in NC Milling Machine was Analyzed. Forth, modeling method was studied in the contact surface; identify physical parameters of combined interface. The influence on dynamic performances of NC milling machine, which results from those contact surface parameters, was analyzed Finally, important conclusions were summarized, and more research assumptions brought forward.
