Preparation of the gold-nanoparticle array (GNA) directly on indium tin oxide (ITO) surface by electrodeposition method is described. The GNA was prepared on the ITO surface by cyclic voltammograms (CV). Several electroplate factors were system studied through single-factor experiments. These factors are the temperature of the electroplating solution, the sweep segments of CV, the potential range, the concentration of KAu(CN)2 and the additives. Then at the ascertained conditions, GNAs with the average diameter about 20 nm, 30-40nm and 50-60nm were prepared. And controlling the sweep segments of CV, GNAs with changed densities but fixed diameters were also prepared.Several kinds of solvents and solutes having an effect on the surface plasmon band (SPB) of GNAs were investigated. Results show that the medium dielectric constant of the solvent induced a shift of the surface plasmon band. The SPB was also investigated when the GNAs were conserved on different conditions. According to experiment results, GNAs could be conserved. The effects of diameter, density and placed conditions on the catalytic activity of GNAs were studied by the nitrite as probe. The catalytic activities of GNAs under above three conditions were compared with each other. GNAs as substrate were also used to immobilize superoxide dismutase (SOD) for fabrication of biosensors. The electrochemical characteristics of SOD-based electrodes were studied and compared with at different diameter, density and placed conditions...
