Researches On The Classification Of Bodily Form Of Medium-elderly Women In Liaodong Region And The Trousers Pattern Design Of Women

China has officially been the aging society, the market of the elderly in China will be the world's largest market of the elderly market. However, the development of the medium-eldly garment market has remained relatively stagnant. There're some reasons for the problem. Firstly, the characters on bodily form of medium-elderly women were various, it's difficult for the producers. Secondly, the theory of the structural design was lacked. Thirdly, there was no standard garment sizing specification for the medium-elderly women. Based on the previous studies, the following researches were done in this paper. First, the actuality of the aging and the elderly garment market in our country were analyzed, The preferences of the pattern and style of the medium-elderly women's trousers were investigated by using the questionnaires.Second, 228 medium-elderly women in the Liaodong region were chosen as the subjects, the traditional manual measuring method was used for the measurements of the body. By using the SPSS software, the characters and distribution of bodily form as well as the varieties of bodily form followed the age in Liaodong region were analyzed. The results showed that B (slightly fat) and C (fat) were the significant bodily form of the medium-elderly women in Liaodong region and the proportion of D bodily form (too fat) was 7.9%. In a whole, the proportion of fat women in Liaodong region was 74.5%. As a result, the character on bodily form of the medium-elderly women in this region could not be described based on the difference between chest girth and waist girth. It was suggested that the difference between hip girth and abdomen girth can be used as a stand for the classification of bodily form.
