This thesis analyzes the present quality and refined degree of cocoon and silk in Shandong Province from two aspects—the raw cocoon and silk reeling technology. At the same time, the thesis researches on the key procedure—cocoon boiling, which have a great influence on silk refined degree (SRD).Trough the analysis of the Shandong silkworm breed, silkworm mounting, mounting conditions and cocoon drying which influences SRD, the author arrives at a conclusion that: On one hand, cultivating excellent silkworm breed which is suitable for the Shandong climate and raising male silkworm on a large scale can improve SRD to a great degree. On the other hand, suitable mounting temperature and humidity is the key to improve SRD. So the following steps should be taken in practice. First, in accordance with the special features of Shandong Climate such as low humidity and great changes between day and night temperature, much attention should paid to humidity improving and temperature raising so as to keep suitable mounting conditions (temperature:22-23℃;humidity: 80%). Second, placing the panel mounting devices outdoors in advance and mounting the silkworm indoors at the right time as well as picking up the cocoon on time can prevent the crunode problem and improve SRD. Third, strengthening management of cocoon purchasing and controlling cocoon drying to avoid the tender or uneven cocoon. Finally, realizing uniform of agriculture, industry, trade and reducing the mid-procedures is crucial to reduce cost and improve quality. That is to say, taking mulberry planting and silkworm raising as one workshop matter, raising young silkworm in green-house on a large scale and drying the cocoon scientifically are the key points.Cocoon--boiling is the important procedure that influences SRD. Therefore, cocoon--choosing and mixing as well as silk—reeling management should be strictly controlled. In other words, right cocoon brushing temperature and time should be necessary. What's more, silk sheath, guide size, filature speed and cocoon adding also play an important role in the quality of silk. In a word, standardizing silk—reeling performance and keeping silk—running passageway smooth is guarantee of improving SRD.In accordance with the poor quality of raw cocoon, suitable cocoon—boiling technology should be chosen in order to improve SRD. The thesis analyzes the function of cocoon dipping to improve SRD. On the basis of the experiment of different steam—boiling temperature and time and the applying experiment in quadrature in optimizing technology, the author puts forward that combining suitable dipping technology with vacuum penetrating can improve the quality of cocoon—boiling. Moreover, pre-treatment through steam—boiling can improve SRD especially the raw cocoon of poor quality when steam—boiling pre-treatment combined with suitable silk—reeling technology. The author believes the experiment in quadrature is of high significance in production practice because it can find out the best solution fast and correctly.
