Industrial textiles have been playing a more and more part in modern society, as the development of modern technology. 3-D woven fabrics are attracted by scientists as the development of industrial textiles. Angle-interlock fabric is one of the important 3-D woven fabrics.Based on the introductions of Angle-interlock fabrics, the paper explored the design methods. The research also concentrated on the development of the fabrics and its properties. The paper first found the relationship between the layers of Angle-interlock fabric and its other parameters. It uses a fractional formula to present the structure. And it is considered one available method by "Industrial Textiles magazine". The research has developed a series Angle-interlock fabrics from 2-layer to 9 layer. Tensile properties are tested, and gained nice curves on the relationship. The result indicated that the angle-interlock fabrics have good extension ability and good elongated recovery. And the broken elongation gets bigger as the layer increased when the layers are less than 7. The broken elongation are in a different result whereas more 7-layers. The research approached that using angle-interlock fabrics as reinforcement composite, board materials. Different modified angle-interlock fabrics are introduced in the paper. Finally, the paper has made a prospect on the application of angle-interlock fabric. The paper is valuable in theory and practice.
