In this paper,the optimum conditions that formed of Na-montmorillonite and organic montmorillonite were studied.The structures of natural-montmorillonite, Na-montmorillonite,organic-montmorillonite were tested through IR,XRD.Then the PE/O-MMT composites were synthesized through melt intercalation,and the photo-oxidation degradation processes of PE/O-MMT composites films were tested through intrinsic viscositie and scanning electron microscopy(SEM)in artificially accelerated aging oven.The main conclusions as follows:1.Na-montmorillonite was formed with Na2CO3.The research showed that the effects were optimum when the addictive amount of Na2CO3 was 6%,the reaction time was 2 h,the reaction temperature was 70℃,the concentration of MMT was 10%.The expansion of capacity,the cation exchange capacity of MMT increased from 8 ML/g,58.5 mmol/100g to 45.5 mL/g,116.5 mmol/100g respectively. Otherwise,X-ray diffraction analysis showed that the d(001)of MMT decreased from 1.543 nm to 1.251 nm.2.Organic Montmorillonite was formed through the way that betaine ions exchanged with Na+ ions in montmorillonite.The research indicated that the organic modifcated results were optimum when the molar ratio of organic modifier with the cation exchange capacity of Na-montmorillonite was 1.5:1;the reaction temperature was 70℃;the reaction time was 6 h.The setting volume of montmorillonite was increased from 2.2 mL/g to 3.6 mL/g and the adsorption of oil of montmorillonite was increased from 0.4501 g/g to 0.7837 g/g respectively.The structures of the Na-Montmorillonite and the organic Montmorillonite were tested.3.The PE/O-MMT composites were synthesized through melt intercalation and processed by the photo-oxidation degradation in artificially accelerated aging oven. The intrinsic viscosities of PE filled with different content of O-MMT in films were analyzed respectively,and the scanning electron microscopy(SEM)was used to analysis the morphology of PE/O-MMT composites films containing 0%,4%O-MMT. The results indicated that the photo-oxidation degradation stability of PE/O-MMT composites films were higher than pure polyethylene film.
