The rolling servo cylinder's the key equipment of the hydraulic automatic gauge control system of rolling mill. The rolling mill servo cylinder's rolling force is great, stroke is short, frequency response is fast and testing is difficult. The rolling mill servo cylinder's performance has a direct impact on the hydraulic AGC system. Therefore, access to the rolling mill servo cylinder's static and dynamic performance will have important significance for manufacturers. The test method of the rolling mill servo cylinder is also lack of unified standards and test system .It's brought some difficulties in the test of the rolling mill servo cylinder. In order to complete the test method of the rolling mill servo cylinder .It's referred to the national and industrial test standards. Conducted the following several aspects of the study:Firstly, this paper studies the static and dynamic performance of the rolling mill servo cylinder. It's focus on the friction testing method. And design of the load method on simulation of back pressure.Secondly, Design of servo amplifier with PID controller. Based on the simulation software-Multisim, the functions of every circuit are simulated and the prior parameters of each element are validated. The results of simulation prove that the circuit can fill the requirements.Thirdly, the mathematical model for the test cylinder is established. The popular simulation software-Matlab is utilized to carry out the simulations of the systematical properties both in the time domain and the frequency domain .Through the simulation and analysis, the response speed of the hydraulic control system can be improved by optimizing parameters in PID modulator. At the same time,. the analysis of the parameters of the system components impact on the dynamic Performance. It's give a reference to further improve the development of the rolling servo cylinder test system.
