The automatic generation of rolling schedule is the core of the process automation, the role of setting the calculation model of rolling schedule is based on the specifications of slab, heating temperature, goal slab specifications, the special requirements of rolling process, etc to generate rolling schedule automatically, through parameter setting such as the reduction system and rolling speed to ensure that the final product specification and temperature requirements,and to increase the thickness of products hit rate,and to improve the shape and linear measure through providing accurate estimatal rolling force and roll bending force to the AGC.This article analyses the commonly algorithm of the set calculation model of rolling schedule, including the calculation methods of rolling force and torque of motor, the calculation methods of roll radius under the rolling force, the calculation methods of the width, flow stress force and extendness of the roll material,etc. This paper also analyses of the mainful ways of heat loss in the process of rolling, and the calculation methods of the affection about rejection of heat in various ways of radiation, convection, or conduction. Based on the comprehensive analyse of the commonly used algorithm of roll model, This paper analyses the algorithm of roll force of the setting model of rolling schedule, the initial load allocation algorithms and load adjustment algorithm of each order,which used in the AnGang Steckel Mill. This paper also expounds the input and output of rolling schedule model, and the various work requests and the corresponding triggered internal events which the model received from the second course system. This paper analysis detailly about the calculation process of the schedule setting and the flow diagram of calculate procedures. And the adaptive parameters and adapyive calculate process of the model in the production process is also described. By analyzing the rolling schedule of roll material which presetted by setting model of rolling schedule and the feedback calculation result after the rolling, and the quality analysis report forms of the roll products, it shows that the calculation of rolling force and torque of motor setting model of rolling schedule which used by Steckel Mill is accurate, and the control of final roll temperature is very precise, which played a very important role in improving the product quality of Steckel Mill Line.
