Coordination polymer,or so called MOFs is a kind of novel organic-inorganic material, synthesis by supermolecular self assembly of metal center and polydentate organic ligand.General speaking, the research toward study coordination polymer focus on molecular design,by choosing adequate transition metal ion and functional ligand,to synthesis special functioned coordination polymer.Lanthanide metal of high coordination numbers and unique photoluminescence, electric, magnetism and catalyst character, but less research are carry out in lanthanide coordination polymer. To investigate novel topology and the application of coordination polymer as photoluminescent material,we synthesis a series of lanthanide coordination polymer successfully by use lanthanide ion and carboxylate benzoic, our contribution are list as below:1,Coordination polymer[La2(bpdc)3(H2O)4]·4H2O(1)(bpdc=2, 2′-bipyridine-3,3′-dicarboxylate)had been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions and its structures were determined by X-ray diffraction, and confirmed by IR and TG analysis.Compound 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic system,C2/c,a=26.749(5)(?),b=7.1165(14)(?),c=20.542(4)(?),V=3906.1(13) (?)3,Z=4,ρcalcd=1.953 g/cm3,R=0.0316,Rw=0.0842.The crystal structure of 1 constructed by the layered lanthanum organic framework and the interlayer water chains through H-bond interactions. This is the first example of two-dimensional lanthanide MOFs with one dimensional water chains.2,Coordination polymer[Nd2(bpdc)3(H2O)2]·bpy·4H2O(2)(bpdc=2, 2′-bipyridine-3,3′-dicarboxylate,bpy=4,4′-bipyridine)had been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions and its structures were determined by X-ray diffraction, and confirmed by IR and TG analysis.Compound 2 crystallizes in the monoclinic system, crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group C2/c with the crystal cell parameters a=33.104(7)(?),b=7.4812(15)(?), c=19.848(4)(?),V=4753.6(17)(?)3,Z=4,ρcalcd=1.788g/cm3,R=0.0313, Rw=0.0808.The crystal structure of 2 constructed by the layered neodymium organic framework and the interlayer water chains and bpy ligand brace the neodymium organic framework alternatively through H-bond interactions. This give a novel example of two-dimensional lanthanide MOFs with one dimensional water chains.3,Three coordination polymers,Ln2(bpdc)3(phen)2(H2O)2(Ln=Nd(3), Eu(4),Tb(5);bpdc=2,2′-bipyridine-3,3′-dicarboxylate;phen=1,10-phenanthroline) were obtained by hydrothermal reaction of Ln2O3 with 2,2′-bipyridine-3, 3′-dicarboxylate acid and 1,10-phenanthroline.They were characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction,IR spectra and photoluminescent spectra. The crystallographic data of 1-3 show that they are isostructural. Both the complexes contain paddle-wheel building block forming by bpdc and phen ligands. Those paddle-wheel SBUs are further connected to form 2-D MOFs network by 2,2′-bipyridine-3,3′-dicarboxylate linkers.Adjacent 2-D infinite networks are giving rise to 3-D supramolecular structure byπ-πaromatic interactions.Photoluminescent measurements indicate that europium compound 2 and terbium compound 3 are strong red and green emitters, respectively.
