Study On Preparation And Properties Of IIR/PA Thermoplastic Vulcanization

IIR/PA TPV can be widely used in soft tube in refrigerator and gas seal in tire and so on,because it does not only have quality gas impermeability and resistance to heat of IIR but also have quality processing and mechanical properties of PA.At the present time,many publications have appeared over the years abroad,especially EXXON.Nobody has do research on it in our country.So it is important to study on IIR/PA TPV.The research of preparing the thermoplastic vulcanization using different type butyl rubbers and polyamide in the thesis.The properties of TPV show rather difference preparing by different type butyl rubbers and polyamide.It was showed that,the properties of TPV preparing by chlorobutyl rubber were better than by bromobutyl rubber.This indicates that the compatibility between chlorobutyl rubber and polyamide are better than bromobutyl rubber.The compatibility for rubbers in the order of chlorobutyl＞bromobutyl＞butyl rubber. The effects of HAAKE dynamic vulcanization technology and two roll plasticator dynamic vulcanization technology on TPV were investigated in the thesis.In the HAAKE dynamic vulcanization technology,the effects of rotor speed,curing temperature and curing time on the mechanical and flowing properties were also investigated.It indicated that TPV show the quality properties in the condition of rotor speed at 50r/min,curing temperature at 200℃and curing time at 10min.The effects of dynamic vulcanization of IIR/PA blend were investigated in three kinds of vulcanization systems(S,Phenol formaldehyde resin and ZnO).The mechanical property,flowing property and repeated processability were better cured by ZnO compared with other curing systems.In addition,the key and difficult technology,which was high stiffness and poor elasticity of IIR/PA TPV was studied specially.Naphthenic oil, polyester and paraffin wax were used as plasticizer in order to reduce the stiffness,improve the elasticity and did not affect other properties of the IIR/PA TPV.It was found that,naphthenic oil could reduce the hardness of TPV markedly.
