| The present process for stearate production in China was as follows: the raw materials based on stearic acid and water-soluble metallic salt carry on neutralization and double decomposition reactions to produce stearate. In practice, producers were facing predicament by reason of expensive raw materials and special requirement from customers. Based on the fact, the article put forward one-step reaction method and two-step reaction method to produce stearate according to actual experience and a great amount of experiments during the course of taking charge of stearate production. In order to increase economic efficiency, hardened oil was used to produce stearate. At the same time, the process was improved according to specific requirement from customers in relation to problems existing in zinc stearate production.
