This thesis consists of the following two parts:The first part is review containing two chapters. In the first chapter, the development of C-N cross-coupling reactions is briefly introduced. Major synthetic strategies utilized include the traditional methods, such as palladium-based catalyzed, Copper-based catalyzed and other noble metals catalyzed. Due to their low price and toxicity, copper salts have recently emerged as novel catalysts in cross-coupling reactions. The second chapter introduces the applications and the development of ferrocene and its derivatives. For the particularity of its structure and the stability of chemical property, ferrocene has been a hot work in their multi - applications in recent years. The second part is the study on the synthesis of new ferrocenyl derivatives. With in the presence of Cu the Ullmann coupling reaction provides a facile and convenient route for the synthesis ferrocene amines. In the protocol, we synthesize ferrocenyl compounds using Cu instead of traditional Pd/Cu catalyst. The feasibility of our work has significant practical and economical value from a cost and throughput standpoint. All those mentioned compounds have been charactered by 1HNMR, 13CNMR, FAB and IR.
