Pour point depressant (PPD) additives are very useful to produce diesel fuels with excellent low-temperature flow properties. Components of the paraffin distillate can be partly extended to produce diesel oil by using the PPD additives, which has been practically applied in industrial processes by taking advantages of improving the flexibility and the profits of the product, as well as maintaining the high values of cetane components. The first part: An acrylat-tyrene-maleic anhydride terpolymer as pour point depressant for diesel fuel was synthesized by solution polymerization. The optimized reaction conditions were the proper ratio of monomers 9:1:1, quantity of initiator 0.8% (based on the mass of monomers), reaction time 8h, reaction temperature 90℃. The results showed that the yield was 64.15%, the pour points of three kinds of Lanlian diesel fuel might depress 10℃,5℃and 7℃respectively, when the addition of the terpolymer was 0.1% (based on the mass of diesel fuel). The process design to the pour point depressant was carried on. It can provide the basis for the pour point depressant industrial production. The second part: SO42-/ZrO2-TiO2 solid acid catalyst was collected as catalyst of synthesis of acrylate. The results showed that, SO42-/ZrO2-TiO2 catalytic best preparative conditions: dipped in 0.5 M H2SO4 for 6h, then baked at 550℃for 3h,the molar ration of Zr to Ti 0.25.The yield of acrylate could reach 92.6%. Compared with other catalyst, SO42-/ZrO2-TiO2 solid acid catalyst was an excellent catalyst for the esterification.
