There are many quality problems of the phenyl peri acid product made in China ,such as the poor crystal morphology , the low purity. In this thesis, the reactive crystallization processes of phenyl peri acid were explored in theory and experiment systematically,and then an optimum operation schedule for the processes was presented.The crystallization thermodynamics of phenyl peri acid were investigated. Some basic physical properties of phenyl peri acid were determined,and by means of laser method, the phase diagrams of phenyl peri acid under different conditions were examined, and the metastable zone in different temperatures was studied.Estimation of kinetics parameters is essential important in designing industrial crystallization process. Crystal acid kinetics of phenyl peri acid was measured by batch dynamic method, and used diiscietized population balance model to regress experimental results. The kinetic model of nucleation, crystal growth and agglomeration were established. The induction period was measured by eyeballing method and the relationship between induction period and supersatuation was gained. Using the induction period data, the solid-liquid interfacial tension was estimated.At last, According to above basic studies, the quality of product and yield of crystallization processes have been improved. In this thesis, some basic data for process design have been submitted.
