As an important part of Chinese economy, textile industry has got a great advancement since 1949. Especially from reform and opening-up, it increases at a speed of 13% each year. Textile machinery, which supplies tools for textile industry, affects the development of textile industry. But Chinese textile machinery can not meet the challenge of native textile industry.This paper is focused on bearing in can coiler of gilling machine, which is a sort of spinning machinery.Firstly, the structure of can coiler is analyzed in order to obtain load distribution of bearing, which is made of four steel wires and fifty steel balls. Secondly, mass and barycentre of different components are calculated in the same coordinate system by Pro/e software. Finally, loads are determined, with it contact module of ANSYS is called to analyze the bearing strength under varied operating states. From the results, stress distribution and peak level are observed and compared.According to the discovered weakness, two improved methods are suggested to make the maximum stress far from working strength of steel wire. High-quality steel wires are selected to increase the material working stress. Counterbalance is redesigned to reduce the maximum stress.The results got in this paper enrich the study in the field of analyzing parts of complex mechanism. Furthermore, it is to be an important sense of direction to the engineering practice.
