Soil is an essential part of environment. With the development of industry, soil pollution has been an urgent problem which needs to be solved. If the polluted soil can not be cleaned efficiently, soil will be another kind of scarcity resource. Cleaning and reusing the polluted soil has been a solution to this problem. Soil remediation takes long periods and lots of funds, so it will be a good way to avoid these two problems to use software to simulate soil cleaning processes. And it helps the user to find out a suitable way to clean contaminated soil as well. Based on the introduction of soil remediation, soil reuse situation and combined with the soil physical cleaning simulation results, the impact factors which may have something to do with the reuse ways for polluted soil are presented. In order to validate these factors, the thesis is going to employ a soil cleaning software called T2000 to simulate soil cleaning processes to find out factors of polluted soil influencing the ways of soil reuse.According to the simulation results, the source and kind of polluted soil, and the concentrations of inorganics and organics have nothing to do with engineering quality of cleaned soil. The environmental quality of cleaned soil has relationship with the kind, source, organic carbon content and polluted elements of soil. Compared with inorganic polluted elements, organic contents have more influence on the environmental quality. pH and CaCO3 have no relationship with soil environmental quality. To increase the function of T2000, two improvements for T2000 are done. Firstly, the cost estimation is added. The detailed information on cost and the calculation formulas are provided. Secondly, this thesis is intended to introduce the prediction problems in T2000, as well as the methods used to improve the predicted contaminants value, the constant and relative errors of each contaminant simulated from simulation results. The new software offers a new scientific and wider prediction ranges about the applicability of cleaned soil.Considering some problems about polluted soil reuse, it is necessary to setup quality standards for polluted soil reuse. Combined with the analysis on impact factors for the reusability of polluted soil and experience on establishing the system of soil quality assessment, this thesis provides suggested polluted soil reuse processes. The study provides theoretical evidences for Chinese polluted soil reuse standards.
