With the rapid development and practicality of micro electro mechanical systems, the requirements of micro-parts become more and more urgent. Micro plastic forming contains a bunch of advantages such as mass production, high efficiency, high accuracy, good capability and low cost compared with other technologies, so this sort of technology has been attached importance to by the departments of industry and research. Research on Micro plastic forming technology has practicality value and important theoretics significance. In this thesis, size effect in micro mechanical properties of micro specimen of C2680 yellow brass foil are studied. The finite element method simulation and experiments are used to study the micro deep drawing process. The micro drawn cup with good quality is successfully fabricated.An equipment with CCD to measure micro strain is designed and manufactured. The tensile test of micro specimen of yellow brass foil is done with the measure equipment. The influences of the specimen thickness and the grain size on yield stress and elongation percentage are researched.In this paper, the software ABAQUS is used to study the deforming rules during the micro deep drawing process. The variation of stress field,strain field and thickness in micro drawn cup are researched. The influences of the gap of mould on the shape and thickness of the micro drawn cup are also studied.The micro deep drawing moulds are designed and manufactured, whose diameter of die are 1mm and 2mm. The pattern of surface of micro drawn cup is observed with SEM. Physical dimension and surface roughness of the cup are measured with CSLM(Confocal Scanning Laser Microscope). The influences of the gap of mould, the grain size and drawing ratio on the quality of micro drawn cup is studied. And the influences of the gap of mould and the grain size on limit drawing ratio is also researched.
