With the depth of mining increasing year by year in china, the content of gas is increasing gradually and existing specially, the problem of gas overrun is threatening the safty operating of mining face seriously, however, the gob-side entry retaining is the most effective method to solve the problem, also it can realize continuous mining without pillars, and improve the recovery ratio, so it again has become a big hotspot of mining in china.The paper combined the existed research findings of gob-side entry retaining, indicated some problems of gob-side entry retaining at present, roundly analysed some key problems of gob-side entry retaining that must be regarded in deep mining, which include deformation and breakage trait of deep roadway surrounding rock, stress distribution law of surrounding rock around gob area, moveing law of gob roof beside gob-side entry retaining, function of filling wall beside roadway, selection of roadway support, support resistance beside gob-side entry retaining etc. Using the FLAC numerical calculation software analysed deformation and breakage of gob-side entry retaining from driving to second mining influence, especially, made contrast analysis to roadway surrounding rock deformation in the condition of different width of roadside filling wall and different kind of roof rock condition, put forward the reasonable width of filling wall under the condition of deep mine, high pressure, thick and complex roof in guqiao mine. Combining the result of numerical simulation, based on the pre-stress structure theory of roof, the paper put forward The Technology Elements of Bolt strengthen control, and contraposed the special geologic condition of GuQiao mine, gave the effective roof control technology for roadway in different phases: driving, mining and roadway retaining.The roof control technology of gob-side entry retaining in deep mining has gained initial success in the project practice of airway of 1115(1) in GuQiao mine, realized bolting technology of deep mining and big section gib-side entry retaining, the section area of roadway kept 8.0m2 above after roadway retaining, satisfied the use requirements, realized innovation engineering of modernization mine at the aspect of high efficiency and quick mining in gob-side entry retaining. The highest yield of mining face reached 16426t/d, created the highest yield record in the mining face of gob-side entry retaining.The paper has 46 figures, 4 tables and 70 references.
