Presently, many coal mines in our country have been using section coal pillar forming and maintain roadways, resulting in a large number of coal resources loss and a amount of roadway excavation increase. Gob side entry retaining technology can recovery coal pillar, and also reduce roadway excavation work. On gob filling support theory and technology, domestic and foreign research institutes carry out a lot of research and testing, and made many achievements. However, the present gob side entry retaining technologies still have some shortcomings, for example, high cost, poor supporting effect, complex filling system equipments, so it needs to be improved by further study.As we know, many section roadways are reserved by the coal mine pillar in the coal mine production, which will causes a lot of coal loss. So, combining with the actual of coal occurrence conditions, the geology, the rock mechanics, using laboratory and other scientific methods, it researches the gob activities, the strata pressure, the surrounding rock control technology. The successful development of the Xin'an coal mine model goaf filling material, its main characteristic is the early strength. The filling slurry begins to coagulate and solidify after 1.5h, the uniaxial compressive strength is 1.2Mpa after 8h, the uniaxial compressive strength is 3.45Mpa after 24h, the uniaxial compressive strength is 4.42Mpa after 24h. It develops two kinds of roadside filling pulping system and its supporting devices:mobile horizontal style and floor mixing pool, which are well test in both of ground and underground.The goaf filling body supporting technology has been successfully applied in Xin'an coal mine, the results show that it can maintain the stability of the roadway and isolate the goaf effectively. The tecnology saves and generates revenue about 15.7 million RMB for the third fully mechanized working face, saves about 170934 RMB for 200m gob-side entry retaining of left piece in the twelfth layer.
