Corrosion Testing And Protecting Of Distillation Unit

Now with the increase in imported crude oil consumption in the domestic refinery and effects of the price and origin, the sulfur content and acidity of the crude oil is becoming higher and higher. So the equipments corrosion on petrochemical units were aggravating. In order to make devices running in a long period and safe state, Corrosion resistance on refining equipment become more and more important. Corrosion testing technology was applied extensively in preventing accidents happening, forecasting lives of equipments, analyzing the corrosion reason and improving the running state of equipments.Taking the example of the distillation unit, different corrosion testing methods were contrasted in this dissertation based on corrosion status and the corrosion principle. Based on the CR-1000 online corrosion testing system, the principle of monitoring system, the choice of testing points, the steps of installation debugging and data analysis were introduced and the related case in distillated units of Dagang Petrochemical Company and other petrochemical companies were also analysed. How to improve corrosion resistance measures and to imply corrosion resistance coating were discussed.The research provides academic and practice basis for the application of corrosion testing technology in distillation units which is favour of the improvment in the corrosion testing technology.
