Oily sludge is mainly produced in the oil fields and refineries. Let's take crude oil exploration and development as an example, oily sludge is 0.5 percent to 1 percent of crude oil production. In particular, many large oil fields have been developed into the advanced period of exploration in China, production of oily sludge must be sharply increased. According to the estimation of crude oil production, one million tons of oily sludge and oily sands will be produced in Chinese oil fields, if the'three mud'in the petrochemical industry is added in oily sludge, the amount of oily sludge will be larger than this data.We take the method of hot sodium carbonate solution washing to process oil sludge in this experiment. Sodium carbonate solution and oily sludge are placed into a beaker in a definite proportion, heated to a certain temperature, stirred for some time, dried at 105℃andburned in furnace at 600℃. Then the oil removal rate is calculated by weighting the mass of the remainder. After the feasibility of the experiment and the best of conditions is determined ,the farther experiment is progressed, which is enlarged progressively.The result showed that the liquid-solid ration is the main influence factor on oil removal rate, followed concentrations of sodium carbonate solution, again temperature, stirring time for the final. The experiment is enlarged step by step,and 5000 g oily sludge can be handled once through the enlarged experiment. The oil removal rate can reach to 90.34% at the temperature of 70℃, 2.0 percent of sodium carbonate solution, 20 min of stirring time and liquid-solid ration of 4:1.
