With the development of rural economy and improvement of people's living standards, farmers have more need for civil energy consumption. However, The majority of farmers still rely on agriculture residues, forest biomass or coal-burning for cooking and space heating, which can have severe health effects as a result of indoor air pollution .While the farmers in richer regions are shifting towards the use of commercial energies such as coal and natural gas. Current reliance on the exploration of industrial raw materials and burning fossil fuels cannot make farmers rich。However,it pollutes their living environment, as well as damage their land and their means of making a living.Compared to the large number of rural biomass waste and surplus labor force, household biomass appliances has a broad prospect ion.It has significantly improving thermal efficiency, reducing pollutant emissions, saving resources and helps local enterprises develop and increase farmers'income.Based on understand to China's biomass resources, I design a biomass furnaces from biomass fuel burning characteristics. After, we test the performance and the burning factors of biomass stoves. And make some recommendations based on analysis of the results. In this paper, the content and research results are as follows:1. Base on the principle of Stoves design, the calculation of heat value and the relevant literature of referring ,it identify the number of the fuel consumption and major design parameters of the furnace and chimney, in addition to propose a classification with the proportion of air . As a result we design a dedicated biomass stove.2. Thermal efficiency of Biomass stoves arrived at 30 percent by test. Most of the heat loss is due to which the heat did not take full advantage including that stoves emissions is instability and carbon monoxide often exceed the standard.3. According to biomass burning characteristics, adopting a classification with the wind the way is contributed to burn. By many tests, we recommend using excess air coefficient from 0.7 to 0.8, secondary excess air coefficient from 0.6 to 0.7. However, when the appliances run, we should ensure that it has suitable the secondary air temperature and the secondary air temperature can adjust.4. The experiment of combustion factors on biomass burning stoves find that the efficiency of biomass stoves reduce, CO emissions increase, NOx emissions reduce and CO2 also have a reduction with moisture content increase. The sizes of the fuel have little effect on the thermal efficiency, but having a certain extent affected on the CO emissions. In the same conditions, when we take different ways to ignite, we find the CO and NOx emissions of the upper ignition are less than the lower ignition.Through the performance test and the actual market identify that appliances performance is better, and it can meet requirements of the thermal efficiency and emissions. The appliances have been welcomed by users. We recommendations adding automatic air distribution equipment and reduce costs in future study to further meet market requirements.
