As the development of social economy,industry and national defence cause, adhesive is used more and more popular, however, the problems of adhesive aging become sereous increasingly.adhesive aging become a sereous problem.This subjct is based on the former research.The main factors of adhesive aging were studied,and the aging data were accumulated.The weathering of epoxy resin adhesive were discussed in this paper.Insolation experiments and indoor accelerated aging tests were used in the subject.The epoxy resin adhesive samples were insolated in Wuhan,Wanning and Mohe atmospheric test stations.By machanical test ,surface analysis ,SEM and infrared spectrum analysis ,the ageing regularity of epoxy resin adhesive was discussed.The paper analysed the impact of water,oxygen,temperature and light on the epoxy resin adhesive.The conclusion of insolation experiments :In the three type atmosphere enviroments,the adhesive will solidify to a greater degree,and the strenth was increased. In different enviroments,the strenth increase is different.The machanical properties and glossiness fall down faster in the experiment station with abundant light supply,high temperature and high humidity.The impact on the adhensive was ranked as:Wanning>Wuhan>Mohe.In abundant light supply, higher temperature and humidity seasons, machanical properties and glossiness of the adhensive fell down faster.The conclusion of indoor accelerated aging experiments :Water has two kinds of impact on the epoxy resin adhesive.Firstly,hydrone can leak into the gap at joint and damage the chemical bond between adhesive and the metal.Secondly hydrone can also make the adhesive change to some simpler chemical form.By the contrast test,we can find that NaCl solution damages the adhesive sample more seriously than pure water.The epoxy resin adhesive he adhesive will solidify to a greater extent in high temperature enviroment,and adhesive's bonding strength decreases more rapidly with increase of temperature.In the enviroment of thermal oxidization, the epoxy resin adhesive reacts with oxygen to degradate and make adhesive's bonding strength decrease.High temperature and water vapor have more serious effect on epoxy resin adhesive than single thermal oxidization or being soaked in water.UV-light contrbutes a little on aging of the joint sample,but much on epoxy resin adhesive.It can make the strength and gloss fall down rapidly.Thermal analysis states that epoxy resin adhesive breakdowns easily in hot air and oxygen is one of the most important fators.For the beginning of study on aging of adhesive was so late in our country,and our study is lack of depth and breadth. We should make effort and go a step further in this aspect to improve the research level on aging of high-molecular adhesive.
