Inkjet printing is a non-contact dot reproduction technology, which spray tiny droplet on the printing stock to form images through a nozzle. the ultimate shape of droplet on the printing stock directly determines the imaging effects of the ink-jet printing. When the ink is exposed to the surface of printing stock, it on one hand spreads on the surface of the paper, on the other hand penetrates to the paper in a multi-icon structure. The characteristic of ink and paper is the fundamental factors to control this process. Therefore, the characteristics of ink and paper-based analytical modeling construction of ink spreading and infiltration effects on the paper may generate a better grasp of the inkjet printing imaging effects.This paper probes into the analysis of the ink penetration and logical deduction of the ink penetration model on the basis of the imaging model which inkjet printing may reproduce the dot on the surface of the paper. It may promote a precise predicted imaging effect. One of the key parameters in this spreading and penetration model is the penetration rate, which depend on the capillary radius. However, the current measurement methods of the capillary radius is far from accurate and the paper tries to put forward a new means of measuring the capillary radius based on its fractal structure on the paper and has proved by experiments that it enables people to make a better imaging prediction.Based on the fractal theory, this paper also make a comparative analysis of the effects produced by this model through the calculation and analysis of the number of the fractal dimension and spectra between the real dots and the ideal ones. Through this comparative analysis, it draws a precise quantitative result of the dot expansion rate, the edge details, and the information about the color of the prints.
