A Study On The Traditional Ecological Culture And Eco-wisdom Of Miao Ethnic Group

Miao nationality is the ethnic group in the south of China,which has bright characteristic and rich traditional culture. Through the ages the people of Miao nationality have created the traditional culture with strong national characteristics in case of meeting ecological environment of which contain the abundant ecological thought and unique ecological view. The environment of their life is green everywhere, from mountain to water, from water to field .The psychological speciality that Miao nationality advocate and cherish nature is what essence of Miao ecological culture is all about,the harmonious spirit of people and nature will keep and develop bright natural environment . Miao residence ecological protection is correlated with people's ecological idea living on this stretch of land since ancient times.Applying the study methods of Ethnology and cross-subjects,this paper is going to investigate more completely and further on the ecological culture of Miao, with the knowiedge of Ethnology,Anthropology,Cultural Eoclogy and Folklor, so that it has certain reference for present sustainable development. This thesis consists of four parts.First part illustrates the purpose and significance, present state and methods,the difficulties and creatives relevant to this research. Second, it will analyse the content of Miao's ecological culture from 6 aspects, such as Miao's local-style dwelling houses, agriculture and forestry, ceremonies of lif, taboo custom, folk literature and folk stipulation in order to excavate and settle the positive and rational elements of The Ecological Culture, preserve and develop the excellent culture of Miao. Third, the feature that points out ecological culture of Miao has"harmony between man and nature", extensive and authority and mystique and practicality. Lastly, it will summarize therealistic meaning of the Ecological Culture of Miao.
