It is a hot-discussed research topic to calculate and resolve the load of force and energy exactly in steel hot rolling both home and abroad. In some steel products areas, the prediction of force and energy has been applied well and brings considerable economic benefits to the corporation, just as improving the dimension precision, whereas it hasn't been carried out in high speed wire.Based on the equipment and technological condition in high speed wire plant of Tangshan Steel, hard wire with diameter ofΦ6.5mm is analyzed. On the foundation of several traditional calculation models and methods, technological parameter and its remedy, the style of recrystallization, dimension of crystal grain, resistance of deformation and rolling power are researched. Remedy function of austenite recrystallization softening is considered in the calculation of rolling force in hard wire. The result is accord with field survey by researching and calculating on the rolling temperature. By using computer simulation, it shows that dynamic recrystallization can't occur with high temperature and great deformation, instead, metadynamic recrystallization is the major process in the continuous rolling. And partial metadynamic recrystallization is the main process in finishing passes with Static recrystallization happening in minority pass. The change of the structure has remarkably influenced performance, rolling load of finishing passes and product precision of steel after rolling. Therefore, great attentions when optimizing rolling technology should be attached. It is feasible of putting the present models into the production of hot-rolled high speed wire. Prediction will be more precise while putting recrystallization softening degree into the calculation of rolling load.
